I watched at basketball game last night (UNC verse Clemson) I couldn't help notice one of the Carolina players, as you should know I'm a huge UNC fan. The guy I noticed was Bobby Frasor he doesn't score a lot of points nor really play a ton of time. . . but what I noticed that he was fast, when he came in the game his sole purpose was to guard the other teams "hot" scorer and that's what he did. I was so impressed by just his speed of coming around screens and defending their shooter when he didn't have the ball. I guess in sports terms he's what you'd call a "role player" he rarely gets his named called by the announcers there are other guys who get those accolades he's just a gritty guy who for the time that he's in the game running and dogging the others team player
I think that sometimes we all want the accolades of being "the man" but in true I think we need to be satisfied being a "role player" a guy that's going to get knocked around a little, not getting the praise they want or many even deserve but in the end there is great reward. . . .so today my plan is to play the "role" God has given me. . . and maybe I'll score a few points along the way.
